Report finished

The final report for the Cathedral Roundabout Excavation is now available. As an archaeological report it is aimed at archaeologists and goes into detail, which means that after it had been backfilled the information is still available, and can be reassessed. So it is long, but well worth a read. Although we could share information at the time it is only in the time after, when detailed analysis and research is undertaken, and archaeologists can take a step back to consider what they uncovered, that the final story is told.

A short summary can also been found on the Explore the Past website.

It was a great project and we thoroughly enjoyed being able to share the excitement of the discoveries with so many people - being able to take people on tours, run exhibitions, share on social media and this website, and then give talks in the years since. We know from conversations over the past few years that many people remember the dig.
